~Beneath the Stars, Emily Mcintire~

πππ«πππ¬: Seeing that it was @itsemilymcintire's (via Instagram) debut novel, I started out without a lot of expectations. But damn, if I had them, this feel-good, wholesome, small town romance would have definitely exceeded them! Hands down one of the best romance books I've read this year, this book had everything: flawed and real characters, angst and pain, mind-blowing chemistry, and some more angst. Honestly, at times it felt like it was a Kdrama, but in the form of a book! I didn't just love the stories, I loved the characters, especially Chase, who worked so hard to become a good person, who didn't just blame the next person beside him, but worked HARD to be good - this. This is what I define as attractive. Alina was so sweet, your poster southern girl, meaning, she was beauty and grace but won't refrain from punching you in the face π€. I loved how the tables kind of had turned for the characters after Part 2 of the book and how that helped them get even more closer. The story itself was so beautiful & warm, I got this huge lump in my throat so many times, and made me blush and curl my toes at the *ahem* hot *ahem* scenes. Coming to the writing style, Emily's felt like a veteran author's. I know authors work SO DAMN hard for their novels, especially their debut novels and I could see it clearly in BTStars. This book was a perfect read for rainy days and I read i with a hot cup of herbal tea and wrapped in my blankets. I rate this book: π/π. Thank you so much for this arc copy, Emily!
